STELLENBESCHREIBUNG Segment Leader - MV UPS & Semiconductor

As Strategic Segment LeaderMV UPS & Semiconductor, you will effectively represent ABB’s Critical Power business within the Medium Voltage UPS and Semiconductor segments, positioning ABB to gain wallet share. In this role, you will be responsible to create and foster C-level relationships within key end users, consultants, engineering firms and contractors, influencing demand to drive specification and reciprocal value. You will sell solutions, be able to articulate the value ABB brings to one-line projects, displacing competition, and negotiate and secure contractual agreements. Tight collaboration will exist with local field resources and SSL.

Your responsibilities

  • Creates and drives industry sales strategies by collaborating with customer’s current and long-term plans
  • Leads development and implementation of account plans and capture team activities. Designs the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing opportunities and identifying a target for our substation to socket solutions, including services
  • Establishes and develops account relationships based on our agreed strategy. Leads customer negotiations
  • Communicates customer’s strategies, purchasing behavior, organization, and decision-makers to internal stakeholders
  • Monitors competitors’ activities and ensures appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented
  • Creates added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach (e.g. frame agreements). Communicates details in accordance with ABB supply, offering and strategy. Coordinates the use of internal or external resources (e.g. technical, advertising and marketing) in order to provide value added services to accounts

Your background

  • Bachelor of Science Engineering or Industrial Distribution with minimum of 8 years related experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Direct sales experience in the electrical industry, experience selling solutions to Data Center and Semiconductor Customers
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SF.com
  • Demonstrated strong verbal/written and presentation skills to all levels in an organization, including C and VP level
  • Ability to work independently and manage time
  • Technical aptitude, knowledge of electrical one line and switchgear
  • Broad business acumen, ability to plan and execute on plans
  • Ability to travel 50% and work extended hours on occasion when required, which might include weekends
  • Ability to mentor sales reps and coordinate matrixed activities
  • Digital competencies to promote and sell solutions
  • Multiple language skills desired
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
