Essential Responsibilities
Company-Facing:
- Serve as scientific and regulatory advisor to the Company's Operations team (for current projects) and BD team (for proposed projects)
- Develop and conduct relevant internal scientific and regulatory training curriculum for Operations, BD and Quality team members
- Assist the Company’s BPMs/PIs to publish / present their results, including through obtaining Sponsor approval to share data
- Assist BD, Operations and Human Resources in identifying and evaluating top talent for BD and Operations teams
- Manage other Scientific Officers, if assigned
- Collaborate with BD team members to present the Company’s scientific capabilities to prospective clients
- Collaborate with Ops team members to anticipate potential and resolve existing project-specific concerns of clients
- Promote and deliver scientific- and regulatory-based strategic consulting services (e.g., translational strategy)
- Directly collaborate with all in-region BD Managers & Directors to achieve the corresponding signed contract targets
- Attend and, whenever possible, present at all key scientific meetings
- Publish frequently in scientific journals
- Cultivate advantageous relationships with government agencies, academia and industry
- Stay abreast of competitors’ offerings and share results with the Company’s leadership team
- Stay abreast on technological, scientific and regulatory market trends and counsel with the Company’s leaders to ensure market-leading position in scientific excellence
- Review and edit the proposed submissions to scientific journals by other employees
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- 10 years + Ph.D. or 15-20 yrs Masters
- Regulated bioanalysis experience
- Leading operations teams and/or project teams
- Subject matter expert in pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity, or biomarker testing for therapeutics
- Drug development experience or extensive CRO experience valued
