The Opportunity  

This position works out of our Wiesbaden location in the Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH.We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

Your Tasks:

  • Increasing the overall performance of the sales team by giving sales trainees the right tools, skills, and knowledge they need to be successful. Supports existing commercial roles especially sales force in creating and organising trainings for improving employee`s commercial knowledge, competencies and skills
  • Organizing and creating coaching and training programs for all existing commercial roles especially sales force team within budget
  • Improving the commercial employee`s knowledge, competencies, and skills in order to enhance ADCs reputation amongst internal and external key stakeholders
  • Designing onboarding sessions for new hires and sales managers
  • Gathering new concepts and training content and the implementation in the sales force in accordance with strategic goals and management decisions
  • Choosing the most appropriate training method case (e.g. on-the-job-training, seminars, simulations, etc.)
  • Coaching ADC sales force in the field and local teams
  • Maximizes sales departments` effectiveness by determining and settling sales representatives and sales managers training needs
  • Evaluating sales team performance to ensure incorporation of taught techniques
  • Partnering with functional leadership to identify future business needs and interpret consequential future competency and skill requirements
  • Communicating and interacting proactively with other ADC departments (e.g. Marketing/Market Access/ Medical) to develop training material
  • Leads “Trainingscoordinator” or equivalent to support all named tasks above

Your Qualification:

  • University degree in life science or management
  • Min. 5 years experience as a sales coach, in sales and product training, coaching and train-the-trainer function
  • Experience in training, coaching and mentoring of others for personal and professional development
  • Experience in developing, maintaining and delivering Training & Development strategies and tools to meet company objectives
  • Experience in direct sales required
  • Knowledge of the diabetes market is a must, project management skills desirable
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to motivate others
  • Strong knowledge and experience in healthcare business, training and development
  • Ability to design and implement training programs
  • Ability to deliver clear concise messages
  • Fluent in German and English
