You will be responsible for the following Tasks
In this role, you have the overall sales responsibility for customer relationships and performance of an assigned customer portfolio for a medium impact client base in geographical area.
Key responsibilities
- Manage assigned customers and budget base; pursue and secure business in line with the corporate and regional objectives within the Special Cargo Sales Team.
- Establish strong, multi-level, win/win relationships with new and existing customers (including main decision makers and influencers)
- Drive and closely monitor volume and revenue to optimize profit and (over)achieve yearly volume, GP and revenue, … targets
- Build a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base (contact, commodities, trade lanes, type of business, contract information including exceptions and service requirements).
- Provide market feedback to stakeholders on a regular basis
- Offer timely quotations and solutions on Special Cargo inquiries to customers and actively sell our products and services
- Establish as expert in Special Cargo with in-depth knowledge and competence in this segment
- Ensure Customer Relationship Management tools are updated on time and with high-quality data.
- Take an active role in internal as well as external customer meetings together with Sales Manager/Product and Revenue Management /Customer Experience/Operations etc.
- Request credit agreements for new accounts and upon request from finance provide input on existing agreements
We are looking for
Experiences:
- Experience in a proven sales function within a shipping or international forwarding/logistics company. Knowledge about Special Cargo/Project Business is a must.
