The Ottobock Running Clinics are a three day sport event for people with leg amputation. Since more than 10 years they are held in different countries worldwide under the direction of Running Clinic Coach & Paralympic gold medalist Heinrich Popow. Many amputees from beginners to advanced runners get the chance to run (for the first time or again) and experience the passion of sport with loaner sports prosthesis fitted by orthopedic technicians. As coach and initiator of the Running Clinics, Heinrich Popow is responsible for the success and legacy of the event. In order to support Heinrich, increase the number of Running Clinics globally and excite more people to get active, we are looking for you as a new potential Running Clinic Coach.

For individual work assignments
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducting of the three day Running Clinics as the head coach
- Teaching the standard running techniques that are required for running on a prosthetic leg from standing, to walking, to running (TT, TF and bi-lateral)
- Anticipating and adjusting the Running Clinic training concept to the group and each individual participant
- Serving as the public face of the Running Clinic in your country, creating and maintaining a positive public image (e.g. on Social Media)
- Inspiring amputees to become active and supporting on creating a positive mindset about the disability
Qualifications
- Sportive lower limb amputee
- Skilled and enthusiastic about teaching and sharing the passion for sport
- Basic knowledge in didactic methods and experience in coaching
- Basic level of technical understanding
- High level of empathy and mental strength as well as a high level of communication and anticipation skills
- Motivating, inspiring and empowering attitude
- The ability and willingness to work and travel, especially on the weekends
