R&D IT Business Application Lead - Key User (m/w/d)

THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AWAITING YOU:

• You are responsible for the IT leadership and for the IT project budget, You support the IT projects for R&D
• You prepare project plans and schedules for system/application deployments, upgrades, and or fixes by following Merz SDLC. You manage change control process and release management cycle for applications
• You are responsible as R&D Application Manager and as System Owner for certain R&D applications. You support and collaborate with the specialist departments in planning and setting up GxP-compliant IT infrastructure for R&D (e.g., safety, analytical lab).
• You contribute to validation of IT systems and write validation deliverables such as Validation and Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Summaries
• You create process, system, and data maps for applications and work with users to gather and document requirements for new and existing applications. You write Functional Specifications for the development teams and perform testing /coordinate testing with end users.
• You support key users and trouble shoot issues to resolve in a timely manner. You act as contact person for users of supported systems
• You are responsible for maintenance (first and second level support) and updates of, but not limited to, the safety application and laboratory IT systems, such as Maqsima Lab+ LIMS and Chromeleon CDS, SAS, Nquery software maintenance support
• You provide training and develop training materials for key users
• You are responsible for user support regarding e.g., audit trail review / periodic review of validated software systems, user management and data archiving
• You coordinate activities with third party support organization/vendors to ensure adherence to expected service levels
• You design and/or implement state-of-the-art, efficient and cost-effective solutions that can be reused by other global or local business area
• You contribute to budget, IT project and project portfolio planning and controlling
• You develop and maintain business relationships with functional area subject matter experts to ensure system and process needs are being addressed and maintained
• You develop IT concepts in collaboration with business, consulting with respect to IT solutions and technologies
• You monitor, plan and implement measures to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements
• You assist with reviewing and writing IT quality SOPs

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• Four-year degree in Computer Sciences/Information Systems or related discipline
• You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a position of equal scope and responsibility
• Experience in supporting a Lifesciences R&D organization
• Extensive knowledge & Experience with R&D Systems applicable in the area of Medical Devices / Pharmaceuticals
• Demonstrated validation experience
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
• Project management and presentation skills, superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities as well as exceptional customer service orientation
• Good knowledge of EU, ICH, FDA and validation guidelines
• Demonstrated analytical and conceptual thinking skills and competency in training and support of users, service-oriented habit
• Experience with systems design and configuration from starting from business requirements analysis through implementation and on-going support
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and workload planning skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Ability to develop and visually present ideas and concepts to both IT and Business stakeholders
• Exceptionally self-motivated and directed as well as ability to set and manage priorities
