The role is within Global Strategic Analytics based in Berlin. The team focus is the generation and distribution of Risk and P&L for the majority of business units (Rates, Credit, Emerging Markets, Wealth Management etc.) within Deutsche Bank. The team is geographically split across London, Berlin and Moscow.
The role involves working closely with IT, Market Risk, Finance, Trading and other business users on critical business objectives regarding front office Risk and P&L production. The analyst will be responsible for gathering and understanding business and technical requirements and seeing them through to implementation, either by developing software themselves or working with dedicated development teams. The analyst would be expected to communicate directly with different areas of the bank to understand requirements and take ownership of the solution delivery.
Your key responsibilities
Gathering, analysing and documenting business and technical requirements
Creating prototypes (in Python or other programming languages) to validate requirements
Creating code for production release to solve business led functional requirements
Assisting in UAT and rollout and proving support to business users
The role will require extensive communication with many types of business and technology areas
Your skills and experiences
Business/Functional analyst or Developer looking to move into Quantitative Strategist role
Strong analytical and documentation skills
Current programming experience in Python preferred
Full project experience lifecycle essential with exposure to Agile beneficial
Investment banking experience preferred
