Quality Assurance Engineer

You'll be working as member of the Global Messaging and Screening (GMS) Crew of the Cash Stream in Zurich. Our role is to deliver all products, to the highest quality standards, aligned to UBS strategy. The GMS Crew provides products for 400+ UBS internal and external global customers.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer in test to :
• Prepare and execute financial messaging related test cases and coverage for our Message Routing pod using tools such as Gitlab, Jira X-ray, IDE (i.e. IntelliJ or Eclipse), Cucumber, Excel.
• Query and generate test data using tools such as XML Spy, Notepad++, TOAD, MS Access, SQL, Excel
• Generate timely and thorough defect reports in Gitlab
• Contribute towards the refinement of product features and stories as part of a Pod, define acceptance criteria and supporting Gherkin/Cucumber scenarios.
• Determine quality risk/impacts of features and stories in close liaison with your Pod members - mitigating post implementation issues.
• Deliver to central Quality Assurance standards within an agile setting.
• Liaise closely with stakeholders and users to co-ordinate User Acceptance testing and sign offs.
• Provide support to our test user community and help them troubleshoot any test execution issues with our applications.
• Monitor System health and investigate any abnormal behaviour to assist root cause analysis.

Skills

Must have

• Financial Messaging Experience
• Analytical with an eye for detail
• Curious and proactive mindset
• At least 2 years of experience in an IT and/or QA service delivery environment (preferably Agile)
• Experience with test management tools, familiar with test data concept and test environment challenges
• Good written and verbal communicator
• Open to challenge or change
• Team orientated and collaborative
• Attentive to detail

Nice to have

• Experience using Gherkin/Cucumber, IDE environment
• Experience of test automation test case creation and execution
