Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Program Management Teams are responsible for leading a cross functional team to deliver major customer programs within budget and time limitations in accordance with technical specifications and profit objectives. They manage customer programs (customized engineered solutions for particular end customer platforms) from bid preparation through production. Responsible for driving project performance, resource planning, risk management, and communication on all projects identified within program assignment. The focus will be on On-Time Delivery, scope, schedule, and budget objective attainment. The job scope will be cross commodity and technology entailing a high complexity.

Main tasks

• Achieve On-Time Delivery performance objectives and report out progress to global stakeholders
• Manage project scheduling and gap closure requirements as needed. Manage customer escalations if needed
• Achieve scope, schedule, and budget requirements
• Audit baseline project schedules for all projects
• Hold Project Managers, core teams accountable to schedule and deliverables on a global level
• Manage capital expenditures and project budgets
• Track lessons learned and manage best practices, ensure global alignment cooperation
• Ensure compliance with Product Lifecycle tools and procedures
• Accountability for all strategies, initiatives, processes, activities, and results within the program scope
• Be the go-to person for all customer requests and complaints, provide immediate feedback on specific customer queries having aligned with the global project teams
• Maintain accurate project data reporting and insure accurate data report outs
• Resolve project conflicts and establish escalation path on all projects within the program assignment
• Report out on project status as needed to a senior level global management community
• Ensure project closeout meetings and post launch reviews are conducted
• Meet all established project deadlines
• Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all team members on a regular basis

What your background should look like:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent with technical background
• 10-15 Years of experience in the management of complex projects
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer facing functions
• Experience in the automotive sector preferred
• Experienced in dealing with partners and cultures around the globe
• Excellent analytical thinking with the drive to follow through on difficult decisions
• Ability to lead, train and mentor employees on a personal level
• Strong communication skills and the desire to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
• Advanced negotiation skills
• Ability to manage and understand the logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and programs and meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements
