The Opportunity

As an Information security specialist in the Second Line of Defence, you’ll have the ability to play a major role in securing Just Eat Takeaway’s products and re-imagining how we manage InfoSec Risk across our business.
You’ll be a driving force in securing applications and have proven experience in maturing InfoSec functions at major, fast-paced businesses. You’ll be able to tailor InfoSec needs applicable to suit our company and how we work.
Day to day, this role will involve managing key infosec risks, performing security assessments, monitoring the performance of infosec controls and processes, organising and coordinating external engagements, including penetration tests, overseeing cyber-related compliance activities, liaising with the first and third lines of defence and other stakeholders across the whole enterprise.
The role requires a well-rounded and upbeat person who can hit the ground running and build collaborative relationships to support the dynamic environment where code is released over 100 times a day. The successful candidate will have a passion for security management, infrastructure and applications security as well as risk assessment and internal security consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Govern and manage information security risk
- Develop and implement the company’s IT security policies, in line with overall IT strategy and external guidelines and monitor adherence to them
- Manage key information security risks
- Execute and improve the supply chain risk management programme from the Infosec subject matter expert perspective
- Collect information regarding IT security compliance
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT security controls and processes
- Aggregate available risk information into useful insights for the senior management
Provide independent information security assurance
- Monitor and analyse maturity and efficiency of security controls and processes
- Analyse the security state of our work environment, and stay on top of new security trends
- Organise, coordinate and support external security assessments
Provide internal security consultancy
- Coordinate remediation of security vulnerabilities and risks
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand the security needs of their teams
- Support resolution of major security incidents
- Spread information security awareness and promote security mindset
- Provide support and expertise to projects that require IT security expertise
- Analyse business needs in the information security area and recommend on technical security implementations and solutions
Your Profile & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in IT, Mathematics or another relevant field is an advantage – though not essential
- Information security certifications are an advantage – though not essential
- Professional experience in information security, consulting experience is beneficial
- Fluent English language skills (written & spoken)

Optimises work process:

- Promptly and effectively addresses process breakdowns.
Tech savvy:
Understanding of multiple information security domains and specialisation in one or two of them
- Understanding of risk management concepts
- Good understanding of IT and networking technologies and their security
- Understanding of various attack types and countermeasures
- Familiar with information security frameworks and standards
- Is an early adopter of new technologies, technical skills, and capabilities that improve performance.
- Regularly experiments with and leverages technologies and tools to substantially improve performance.
- Vulnerability analysis and exploitation skills are beneficial
