The European Shared Services for Debt Collections in Berlin services delinquent retail and small business customers for Germany, Spain, Italy, France, BeNeLux and the UK. The focus of the department is to mitigate credit losses through customer interaction in order to reach payment arrangements with our customers.

As a Professional for Retail Collections Spain you will be required to minimize risks, failures and losses by considering and respecting all internal and external requirements. It is a very self-responsible role under the business scope of the assigned retail customers in Spain.

Your daily tasks will be:

  • Reaching out to delinquent customers using telephone and email
  • Finding the most optimal way to convey the message and persuading the customer by applying your conversation and negotiation skills and innovative approach
  • Conduct extensive research both online and through the optical archive to find contact numbers and email addresses of clients that cannot be reached
  • Designate and optimize conversation strategies to identify and cope with different customer attitudes
  • Continuously endeavor to improve your contact and persuasion strategies by giving and receiving peer-feedback and listening back to recorded telephone conversations
  • Cooperate and liaise with colleagues of different departments based in Spain on individual matters such as customer complaints, correction of invoices etc.
  • Handle bankruptcies and prepare criminal complaints in case of embezzled vehicles
  • Steer and manage third-party agencies based in Spain to arrange for repossession, transport of vehicles and remarketing

Qualifikationen

What you bring to the table:


  • More than anything, we need you to be highly driven with a strong learning ability and to have a strong urge to attain the very best results and continuously improve yourself
  • Experience in Debt Collection or customer service
  • Fluent Spanish language skills, English at advanced Level, additional language skills are considered as a plus
