Production Engineering Manager, Drive Unit (M/W/D) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

• Clearly define expectations for the engineering team andfocus on movement of process and equipment related metrics which improveoverall manufacturing line performance.
• Drive improvement activities from inception through closureusing the engineering resources on their team.
• Innovate processes and procedures to streamline productionactivities on the production floor.
• Push the team to adhere to strict 5S standards and maintaincleanliness on the floor and within automation cells.
• Provide support for new equipment installation, startup, andhand over.
• Improve preventative maintenance activities to decreaseoverall downtime.
• Collaborate with manufacturing enginee to install andtroubleshoot new product introduction, new processes and equipment.
• Adhere to best practice with regards to quality standardsfighting for every saving.
• Use software generated solutions to track activities(engineering and personnel).

• BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalentexperience.
• Exemplary track record of high impact contributions both asan individual engineer and in a management capacity.
• Must have understanding of general manufacturing processes,equipment behavior, automation, and controls.
• Experience with automation and controls engineering ispreferred.
• Must demonstrate reliability, initiative, and desire tolearn.
• Must be adaptable in work schedule (including compressedwork week or night shift) and working environment.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills alongwith strong attention to detail, flexibility, and prioritization.
• Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and deliver resultsin a fast-paced technical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage and execute multiple large-scale projectssimultaneously, dynamically adjusting priorities to meet changing businessneeds.
• Experience with application and teaching of structuredproblem-solving methodology, such as DOE.
• Able to drive engineering problems to true root cause andelimination driving his team and other stake holders outside of his line ofreport.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally frequently.
