Your team
The Tax Localization Central/North Europe team is a dynamic team of smart, highly capable, and passionate Software Developers and Business Analysts across development centres in Europe. We follow an agile process, working together with the Domain Owner and other teams in the organization to develop product features and provide support to our extensive global customer base.
Joining as a Product Owner you take over product ownership for our Tax Localization Central / North Europe product scope and are accountable for the value of the product resulting from the work of the team. This means taking end-to-end responsibility from creating the product vision and road map to ensure continuous market success, discussing and challenging the requirements with the stakeholders (internal and external), managing and grooming the product backlog, ensuring the product is built according to specification, managing the product life cycle, up to finally presenting his product to the stakeholders and the community.
Your mission:
- Product Ownership over Avaloq’s Tax Localization Central / North EU product scope built by our development team
- Develop a deep understanding of the regulations, the customer and product needs
- Create the product vision and shape and coordinate the execution of the roadmap
- Manage, groom, and prioritize the product backlog
- Analyse and challenge new functional/non-functional requirements
- Ensure quality of the product (test cases, testing) and efficient development process
- Work with the development team and liaise with stakeholders (project teams, service team, product management, customers, users and other) to get feedback and improve the product offering
- Prepare product launches, perform presentations and demonstration of the offering in sales cases and customer events
- Manage product updates from end to end by coordinating between all involved stakeholders all the way from building to running the product
- Follow agile development frameworks
Qualifications
What you need:
- University or college degree in computer science/engineering, Business, Economics, or equivalent professional education
- Professional experience as a Product Owner and/or Senior Business Analyst with banking knowledge in the areas of Tax Localization Central / North EU product scope (German, Austrian and Liechtenstein Taxes)
- Proficient written and spoken in German and English is a must
- Open minded and a team-oriented attitude
- Working experience in Agile Software Development environments
- Demonstrate strategic thinking by using appropriate information to diagnose problems, identify possible solutions and collaborate with impacted groups to drive decisions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to communicate and collaborate effectively with small and large groups across all levels of the organisation and with clients
- Diplomatic with developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Capability to adapt to changing circumstances quickly and professionally
