Intro
Our mission at Lingvano is to break down language barriers and build bridges between Deaf and hearing people. The way we do that is by creating easy-to-use sign languages courses for real-life situations that are enjoyed by more than 2 million learners worldwide.
What you will do:
You’ll be an end-to-end designer and foster a culture of user-centricity through best UX practices, leveraging and empowering UX Research and cultivating an environment of consistent experimentation, innovation and validation together with our team of engineers.
Tasks
User Research
- Identify and frame strategic problems, own the research lifecycle, translate insights and user needs to influence both short and long-term product decisions and roadmaps.
- Engage cross-functional stakeholders to align on research needs and define projects that clearly convey the goals and hypotheses.
- Conduct usability studies using methodologies including interviews, surveys, and relevant approaches to answer the research questions.
- Analyze, synthesize, and interpret study findings into key insights to be delivered to cross-disciplinary stakeholders in clear, concise, and compelling ways.
UX design
- Craft Lingvano user and learning experience including design concepts, wireframes, mockups, prototypes through to final specifications based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends.
- Consider and design within UI standards, accessibility constraints, and responsive design aspects.
- Contribute to create, document, and evolve our design system.
Requirements
- You have experience in quantitative and qualitative research methodology including, usability, interviewing, concept testing, and surveys.
- You have experience with product research, either in a business, usability, or generative setting.
- You have expertise in mobile app design and development. Preferred expertise in the field of learning and education.
- You prioritise accessibility in all design and research processes, ensuring that Lingvano offers an accessible experience for everyone.
- You have high proficiency in collaborative design tools (we use Figma).

This job is based in Vienna and open to begin immediately; our Vienna location is a firm requirement, but if you cannot start immediately we still encourage you to apply. The gross minimum salary based on 40 hours per week is €50,000 per year. Depending on your qualifications and experience, a higher salary is very likely.
