The position is part of the externally funded ERC project "DEEPFUNC: Using deep neural networks to understand functional specialization in the human visual cortex" limited to two years in the Visual Cognition and Computational Neuroscience Lab (PI: Katharina Dobs), at the Chair of General Psychology, at the Faculty of Psychology and Sports Sciences. The salary is in accordance with the collective labour agreement of the State of Hessen (E 13 TV-H).
The lab studies human visual cognition and the functional architecture of the human visual system by combining recent advances in machine learning with human behavioral and neural data. Within the ERC project, we’re especially trying to understand the what, how and why of functional specialization in the human visual cortex.
