Job Purpose/Role:

You will be part of the Risk Management team at Allianz Direct. The purpose of this role is to support the development, maintenance and analysis of an internal model (IM) within the IM of AZ Group. Being primarily responsible and supporting the CRO in the required activities for the entire internal model application process.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform regular risk quantification as part of the internal model and prepare quarterly reports and presentations on the results
• Support the business using the insight generated from the internal model and promote the use of internal model
• Support the AZ Direct closing activities for Solvency II Risk Capital calculation & reporting, including analysis and presentation of results
• Represent AZ Direct in respect of Risk Management topics in relevant committee(s), meetings, risk assessment workshops by analyzing risks as well as offering constructive challenge and new ideas
• Support and review of the product approval process, conduct limit monitoring, assist in planning activities and relevant ad-hoc regulatory requests
• Support in quantitative risk topics within the AZ Direct finance function, to subsidiary risk functions, to regulators/ internal and external auditors and colleagues from the Group.
• Proactively identify opportunities and challenge the status quo

Qualifications/Key skills:

• Actuarial degree and/or master’s degree in mathematics or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge of Solvency II or experience in quantitative risk management, risk controlling, risk reporting, risk analytics, capital modelling or actuarial ideally within the insurance industry or a Solvency II Internal Model entity
• Advanced proficiency in data analytics and Microsoft Office applications
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in an international cross-functional team environment
• Entrepreneurial spirit and consider the only constant is change
• Fluency in German and English, and any further language is a plus
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in insurance, reinsurance or a consultancy
