At our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Intellectual Property team is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Patent Professional (m/f/d)

Full-time and permanent

to assist in the continued development and implementation of Evotec’s patent strategy, as well as to identify and pursue valuable intellectual property generated in a dynamic research and development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely together with Evotec’s scientists to identify inventions that may be patented and provide IP counseling
• Manage and support outside counsel preparation and prosecution of patent applications
• Conduct freedom-to-operate activities
• Manage and support contracts and public grants from an IP perspective
• Conduct patent / scientific literature searches
• Be responsible for publication clearance

Qualifications:

• MSc. in Biology, Biotechnology or Biochemistry; Ph.D degree would be preferred
• Profound working experience in the patent field, ideally in a corporate patent department
• Additional qualification as European Patent Attorney or willingness to obtain the same would be desirable
• Ability to convince with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate comfortably at all levels and with all departments
• Flexible with a proactive approach to problems and demands in a fast moving environment
• Structured and goal-oriented working style
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both German and English)
