• We are looking for a (Senior) Software Developer (m/f/d) to strengthen our Vehicle Platforms division.

• As a software developer (m/f/d), you will work in the development of solutions that will take Mercedes-Benz vehicles to the next level in terms of software performance, updateability and expandability. Under the keyword Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB. OS) you will find information on the challenges and demands we face on the website of Mercedes-Benz Group AG.

• You like to work in the embedded world at the interface to the cloud, in the best case you already have experience from software development for vehicles and terms such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet, vehicle diagnostics, Adaptive Autosar and Embedded Linux (yocto) are no foreign words for you.

• The functions created by you and your team run end-to-end developed in the vehicle and, provided by other teams, also in the backend. You contribute to the integration of innovative and high-quality solutions and thus ensure sustainable and future-proof IT services and products.

• We develop according to agile methods together with our business partners. The team is responsible for the detailed SW architecture in the components, the implementation in C++ code, unit and unit tests and the integration of the SW into emulated and real ECUs. Overall, we work together with a large number of other international teams in order to ultimately have powerful and robust software available in the vehicle.

How do you fit into our team?

• You have a degree in computer science or similar or a comparable education.

• You have several years of experience in the professional software development of complex applications.

• You already have practical experience in the technologies C++ (v14/17 or larger), possibly also Java or GOlang.

• Ideally, you have know-how in the field of embedded Linux based on the yocto build system, vehicle technologies such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet and Adaptive Autosar or tools such as Vector CANoe.

• You have experience in the implementation of DevOps projects and are familiar with cloud-based continuous integration / build management and code repository (git).

• You have experience in the field of agile methods such as Scrum.

• You have the ability to familiarize yourself quickly and in a structured way with new topics and actively promote them.

• In times of pandemic, we mostly work remotely and thus maintain an exchange with appropriate tools and working methods such as pairing.

• You work problem-oriented, can communicate openly and empathetically and pursue goals with perseverance.

• You enjoy taking on challenging tasks and responsibilities.

• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form are mandatory.
