POSITION DETAILS
Start Date:
- Immediate upon completion of the recruitment process.
Teaching Hours:
- Guaranteed approximately 30 hours per week!
Students:
- Adult professionals over the age of 18.
- Students are based throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
Remuneration:
- Set base rate of 10 USD per hour.
Contract type:
- You will be contracted by The Really Great Teacher Company as an Independent Service Provider.
Location:
- Work from the convenience of your home.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver English lessons and guidance to students.
- Create a fun and engaging classroom environment by facilitating one-on-one or group instruction & utilizing world-class teaching methods.
- Lead discussions, assess student performance, and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (Any field)
- Completed, accredited 120-hour or above TEFL, TESOL, CELTA
- 6 months' teaching or tutoring experience
- English first language speakers from USA/Canada/UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand
- Must be based in Central America, South America, or South-East Asia (Mexico/Brazil/Cambodia/Thailand/Vietnam/Bali etc.)
- Computer literate
- Clear criminal record
- Engaging and inspiring communication skills
- Punctual and precise timekeeping
- Available to fit into allocated teaching shift slots

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
PC specifications:
- Processor: Intel ® Core™ i5 CPU @2.0GHz (4 CPUs) or greater.
- Memory: 8GB RAM or greater.
Backup power:
- Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (2000VA) (or willing to purchase before commencing teaching). This is applicable and a non-negotiable requirement for candidates based in a country where regular power interruptions occur.
A stable fibre internet connection:
- At a minimum of 20 Mbps upload and download speeds.
- PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection.
Noise-cancelling headsets and HD web camera:
- Backup headset is highly recommended.
Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment.
