Intro

krisenchat Ukrainian

for children, adolescents and adults

krisenchat is a psychosocial counseling service in German designed for children and young people up to 25 years old, accessible through WhatsApp and SMS 24/7. Krisenchat Ukrainian extends this service including children, adolescents, and adults providing counseling in Ukrainian or Russian.

We do not offer long-term therapy; instead, we focus on crisis intervention. Our professional counselors offer an empathetic and open ear to those seeking help, emphasizing a solution-oriented approach to best support our clients in the exact moment of need. Sometimes, merely sharing experiences or discussing feelings can be beneficial.

To equip our team of counselors, we provide training, guidelines, and chat exercises through an online toolbox and guides, helping them deal with challenging emotions and situations. Additionally, we've established a network of resources with practical information and references to whom our clients can be referred.

Our organizational platform is Slack, an app/website where only project-involved individuals communicate. A professional counseling team is available in the background for questions and training on chat counseling, offering intervision and supervision.

As a community, we are appreciative and engaged, constantly working together to improve and develop our service. Krisenchat was founded during the Corona pandemic and leverages experience gained from over 100,000 chat consultations.
