Lead manufacturing line design andlaunch of conveyance – bid package development, vendor selection, front-endengineering design, design reviews, fabrication, acceptance testing, manufacturing,installation, commissioning, and handover to operations.
First contact person inProcess-flow analyses and Layout development and optimization.
Manage project execution to ensurethey are delivered to scope, on time, and on budget. Procure equipment, trackbudget costs, and project schedules.
Develop initial manufacturingstrategies for new projects by performing detailed feasibility, project timing,and cost estimate studies.
Participate in engineeringactivities with the product design team ensuring that flexible, cost-effective,robust, and reusable processes and equipment are implemented.
Provide technical support for theassessment of different manufacturing scenarios.
Identify, investigate, test, andvalidate new innovative technology and work methods for future implementation(e.g. virtual manufacturing environment, product feasibility simulation,throughput simulation).
Support sourcing activitiesincluding identification of potential suppliers and technical evaluations ofquotations.
Iterate engineering design to meetfunctional requirements and lead vendors through mechanical, electrical, andsoftware design reviews.
Install, commission, and start-upequipment balancing speed and safety.
Ensure manufacturing lines meetuptime, availability, and reliability metrics – OEE, cycle time, quality, andfirst time through.
Develop and deliver training tooperations and maintenance technicians to ensure and seamless handover of newequipment.
Coordinate continuous improvementmeasures to ensure that project lessons learned are captured and knowledge istransferred across the team and organization.
Ensure that all equipment, processes,and methodologies comply with applicable standards, company policy, and allHealth and Safety Laws, Acts, Regulations, and Codes.
Travel is expected – e.g. forvendor visits, equipment installation, and commissioning.
Anfrage
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, orequivalent experience.
3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in conveyor technology.
Proven project managementexperience.
Experience across all phases of a product program (from concept planningthrough to execution)
Experience in Green-field and Brown-Field projects.
Mechanical design experience,considering:
Design for manufacturability.
Designing mechanical equipment, fixtures, and tooling in CAD.
Mechanical assembly (pros and cons in assembly methods).
Must be fluent in CAD tools (AutoCAD, Catia, or Solid Works, etc.)
Experience developing standard operating procedures and maintenanceprocedures.
Knowledge of a breadth of industrial equipment including but not limited tomotors, fans, robots, Atex type equipment, and conveyors bought-out items.
Must be fluent in Simulation tools (like tecno-matics, or equivalent Cycletime simulation)
Basic knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and programming is an advantage.
Must be fluent in English. German is advantageous.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs (MS word, Excel, Visio,etc.)
Good overall people management skills.
