Your role: You are an expert responsible for developing the digital visualization of colorations employing pearlescent pigments by means of rendering technologies like VRED. Target is to display complex images like car bodies in a realistic way under different illumination conditions and during movement. Dir this goal, setting up and maintaining a technology network to ensure best-in-class electronic visualization of color effect in close cooperation with other teams in Surface Solutions like commercial teams, designers, colorists, color physics and customers as well as internal and external IT stakeholders will be required. In addition, you will be creating and maintaining an internal and external network of experts to allow to adopt existing technology to a new level of visualization quality providing realistic appearance of color stylings on electronic displays.
Who you are:
- MSc or BSc in any engineering, natural science, design or IT with background in data management or comparable
- Proven experience in database management, preferably employing rendering and visualization technology, including setting up interfaces of databases of coloristic data like AxF-data from X-Rite colorimeters with Python
- Affinity for digital tools and informatics, preferably experience with VRED or comparable rendering tools e.g. for video game design based on digital input data of video formats
- Good communication skills
- Fluent command in German and English
- Good skills in colorimetry including broad scope of color vision
