Your tasks:
- Act as the Single-Point-of-Contact to the central M&A team of Deutsche Bahn and ensure a coordinated collaboration between DB Schenker and its shareholder for M&A topics.
- Build and maintain a global M&A target company pipeline based on the corporate M&A strategy via internal and external sources
- Establish and foster relationships with potential target companies
- Continuously review and adapt DB Schenker's global M&A strategy based on changing market conditions
- Support project governance for all upcoming acquisitions from a corporate side to ensure smooth execution of deals
- Support post-merger integration projects by providing best practices, foster knowledge sharing and critically reviewing progress to ensure measurable integration success
- Own and continuously improve the M&A process on Schenker-side, provide process guidance and support to other DB Schenker entities
Requirements
Your requirements:
- University degree in business, logistics, or a related discipline
- Preferably first experience working in a corporate M&A department, investment banking or management consulting
- Solid understanding of corporate finance and enterprise valuation
- Team player with good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Well-developed analytical abilities and problem-solving skills with a focus on details
- Strong customer-centric service orientation and understanding of complex concepts
- Self-initiative and flexible thinker able to operate in a changing environment
- Fluent in German & English

The DB Schenker Transformation Office is the global project management office for strategy development & execution, driving large scale transformation projects across all business units and geographies as well as providing process guidance and on-the-ground support to the business units in achieving strategic goals. Part of the Transformation Office is the development, continuous adaptation and execution of the global DB Schenker M&A strategy. While responsibility for the execution of M&A deals (incl. valuation & due diligence) lies with the corporate Deutsche Bahn M&A office, the Schenker M&A team is responsible for developing & executing the M&A strategy, sourcing targets, building relationships, structuring the M&A process and supervising post-merger integration projects.
