Liability Claims Reporting Specialist (FTL-Hybrid)

Sixt USA is looking for a Liability Claims Intake Specialist. As a Liability Claims Intake Specialist you will be responsible for intake and reporting of claims, serving as the initial point of contact for calls to the Liability Department; obtaining necessary information accurately and efficiently, and responding to inquiries. Candidates must be familiar with Microsoft office and enjoy learning new software, possess problem-solving skills, and demonstrate critical thinking. Must have the ability and willingness to adapt to change, be a team player, meet and exceed deadlines all while working in a demanding fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do to be Sixt-cessful:
• Contacts, interviews and obtains statements from customers and claimants to secure necessary FNOL (first notice of loss) reporting information.
• Establishes and maintains strong customer and vendor partner relations
• Communicate appropriately and effectively with management and vendors throughout the claims process
• Process incoming and outgoing emails and telephone calls
• Adhere to all company claims handling standards and maintain a minimum standard of performance for all key performance indicators
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required, (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Must have customer service related experience
• Basic knowledge of claims handling and familiarity with claims terminologies.
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
• Ability to prioritize various requests and handle changing priorities
• Excellent work ethic; willing to take on multiple tasks with a sense of urgency
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be capable of dealing with claimants, customers, insureds, brokers, attorneys etc. in a positive manner concerning losses.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Dependable, cooperative, and willing to assist others
• Knowledge of MS Office software Word and Excel
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Proficiency in English
• Ability to communicate in other languages (French, Portuguese, Spanish, German, etc.) is a plus.

Additional Information

Pay Scale - $45K-50K/year with a 10% yearly bonus.
