Lead Financial Controller DACH – (d/f/m)
Location: Frankfurt / Hybrid
The Opportunity
Cognizant is looking for a Central Europe (DACH) Finance Associate Director in the DACH region to lead the finance team. This full-time finance IT Services role is based in Frankfurt with hybrid working and offers an attractive salary and benefits package.
The DACH region includes Germany, Switzerland and Austria, across 12 entities with a headcount of over 2,000 and a revenue of approximately $1bn. In addition to core controller activities, you will play a key role in integrating acquired companies in this acquisitive region.
Your Key Result Areas
· Deliver finance responsibilities which include completing the month-end close procedures in line with the current timetables.
· Complete monthly, QTD and YTD financial analysis of the DACH financial results, providing explanations for key variances and preparing commentary for submission to both corporate and the business.
· Complete regular financial analyses of DACH financial results, providing explanations for key variances and preparing commentary.
· Manage and support the finance team in the preparation of statutory financial information, including tax packs and related inputs used by the tax team in calculating corporation tax.
· Leverage onsite and nearshore teams to complete other local external reporting requirements.
· Support DACH region on any mergers and acquisition activity. This will include working directly with the acquired finance teams to deliver timely, accurate information on the financial position and performance of the operation as well as liaising with the M&A project teams.
Your Qualification
· Qualified Accountant/MBA with 8-plus years of commercial experience and experience working in a busy environment.
· DACH exposure and experience
· Industry experience ideally
· Sharp analytical mind with the ability to tell the woods from the trees
· Ability to be flexible, considering changing priorities and needs.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to form collaborative relationships
