HomeToGo’s Data Science team is responsible for supercharging our products, particularly in areas such as search, r
As Lead Data Scientist, you will collaborate with our talented team of Data Scientists and partner with colleagues in various departments, including Search, Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering, to enhance and expand our AI-powered marketplace. This presents an exciting opportunity to join a team that significantly impacts HomeToGo's overall performance. You will tackle challenging problems and drive measurable business impact through our online A/B testing platform.
How you’ll add value:
- Design quantitative models (leveraging ML and advanced analytics) to drive customer engagement, booking conversions and other key metrics
- Ensure proper selection of model offline quality metrics and maintain an adequate level of model explainability
- Facilitate the implementation of models into production by collaborating with your engineering partners
- Ensure efficient and cohesive workflows in our Data Science efforts to maximize business impact, while acting as a valuable sparring partner and facilitator for a small team of Senior Data Scientists
- Serve as a consultative and creative partner for business and product stakeholders – understanding their needs and translating them into modeling problems
- Shape our long-term Data Science strategy as you help foster a close-knit Data
You’ll be successful in this role if you:
- Have a proven track record as a Data Scientist in e
- Have extensive hands-on experience in product analytics, advanced modeling and ML, with a high
- Hold an MSc or PhD, with a strong academic record, ideally in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, or another quantitative field
- Have experience driving Data Science projects and leading or mentoring Data Scientists, ideally with higher levels of seniority
- Have experience in areas of Ranking, R
- Are familiar with modern large-scale data warehousing solutions (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery) and/or data processing engines (e.g. Spark, Presto) – ideally in the context of distributed cloud
- Have the ability to thrive in a cross-functional setting: strong
- Bring intellectual curiosity, a desire for continuous learning, and a collaborative team-player attitude
