What you'll do

We are looking for a User Assistance (UA) developer (associate) (f/m/d) to join  our unit with building state-of-the art integrated development environment for business applications. Our core product is ABAP Development Tools (ADT), also known as “ABAP for Eclipse”. As a UA developer (associate) you will be part of a UA team of colleagues who work closely together and with our development scrum teams, with the common mission of shaping an attractive product with extensive functionality. After in-depth onboarding and skills ramp-up phase, you will create and maintain plug-in documentation and online help content of our integrated development environment for ABAP using state-of-the art authoring tools like DITA CMS. You will tailor our product documentation and rollout material to our target audience consisting mainly of software developers, but also administrators and consultants. Regular communication with your team colleagues, product owners, and developers to commonly define terminology and documentation that is simple, consistent, and compliant to industry standards will be an integral part of your work.

 

What you bring

You enjoy technical writing as well as programming. Ideally, you have already gained some experience with the development and maintenance of a software product that delivers value to customers.

 

You bring along

  • A good to excellent university degree in technical communication or in technical fields like computer science
  • First experience in technical writing would be beneficial
  • Excellent language skills in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to understand technical concepts and to elegantly express complex information in a clear and precise manner
  • Practical experience with developing software in at least one programming language
  • Team spirit: You like to work collaboratively and foster an open and trustful communication that is the foundation for team success
