The RIMOWA EMEA Finance team is looking for a Business Analyst Finance Assistant for a comprehensive, cross-functional internship in a regional finance department. You will report to the Finance Director EMEA and will be based in Cologne and work closely with the North Europe Senior Finance Controller.
YOUR MISSION
Financial analysis
- Support for the EMEA Finance team during the monthly accounting closing periods: monitoring of retail wholesale and ecommerce sales, analysis of results against budget. Analysis of HR indicators and store productivity indicators
- Participation in the preparation of budgets for sales and retail performance indicators.
- Preparation of ad hoc analyses according to management needs
- Support North Europe Senior Finance Controller in the closing process: review analytical allocation of invoices, calculation of accruals, review financial statements submissions from back offices in LVMH consolidation tool (P&L, Cash flow, Balance sheet)
Performance analysis
You will participate in the production and management of performance reports for the EMEA zone: report design, digitization and automation of existing reports, improvement proposals.
- Weekly reporting: Monitor weekly sales, participate in updating the sales report sent to General Manager Europe and Rimowa Top Management and involvement in the update of monthly sales landing
- Monthly EMEA reporting: Monitor monthly performance in the zone. Help consolidate the report, coordinate the various contributors (Visual Merchandising, CRM, Area Managers, Marketing, ECOM, Supply Chain), and make proposals for improving the report to EMEA Management and the Rimowa Executive Committee
- Implement new analysis and processes in order to allow a better monitoring of EMEA performance
Projects
You will also be involved in key projects for EMEA finance teams among which.
- Roll out of omnichannel in several countries : you will insure the consistency of financial processes among the countries by acquiring a transversal vision of the project
- Participate in implementing retail monthly internal controls for the north Europe boutiques
YOUR PROFILE
- Business or engineering school with a specialization in corporate finance
- Thoroughness, precision and a flair for figures are essential, as is an interest in information systems. Respect for deadlines and ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Appetence for analytical tools and first experience appreciated (Excel, PowerBI etc)
- Very good level of English to be able to communicate with various contacts in the EMEA zone
