Innovation & Learning Intern - Digital Capability Center

You will be based in our Digital Capability Center Aachen, which is part of the Düsseldorf Office.

The Digital Capability Center is a state-of-the-art facility for experiential learning founded by McKinsey & Company, Inc., together with the ITA Academy GmbH, leading technology companies, and innovative start-ups. The Digital Capability Center exemplifies the future of digital and sustainable operations (Industry 4.0), and imparts lean and digital skills in holistic training programs that help companies achieve a positive impact.

With a fully functional production line and several model offices, the center offers practical trainings on lean and digital processes, integrating modern digital and analytics solutions to support the learning process. You will stay in contact with our network of consultants and other digital capability centers, particularly with the facilities in Istanbul and Venice, to learn about best practices in international workshop operations.

In the course of a six-month fulltime internship, you will gain a broad understanding of current and future methods in digital and lean operations and related capability building. You will actively participate in the preparation and implementation of client workshops in a variety of modules that are carried out in-person and virtually.

Alongside the preparation and implementation of workshops, you will contribute to the development of new and innovative training programs. In this context, you will use your experience and creativity to improve learning experiences among clients particularly through the development of interactive workshop formats. You will also support the implementation of innovative solutions and technologies at our model companies and get involved in related transformation projects with clients. As a full member of the team from day one, you will assume responsibility for your own topics and work packages. By working with the newest digital technologies in the operations environment as well as holding regular conversations to obtain feedback, you will continually develop your own expertise.
