Your mission as Individual Reservations Agent
As Individual Reservations Agent, you are the voice that creates guest delight on the first contact. Delivering true Waldorf Service, you surprise and already welcome our guests from a distance. You make the first impactful impression and the guest can hear you smile as you walk them through our house and offers. This is your opportunity to shine and show that you can convince guests to visit us from the other side of the world!
What will I be doing?
Our Individual Reservations Agent will exchange daily with guests and personalize their experience to the fullest, aiming at returning business. Specifically, an Individual Reservations Agent will be empowered to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Acceptance and entry of reservations by telephone or e-mail
- Send out room offers and confirmations of reservations by e-mail or letter
- Ensure quality checks, update and follow-up of all Individual Reservations
- Perfect knowledge of the hotel, including facilities and environment
- Exact knowledge and correct application of various room rates
- Handle special projects delegated by the Reservations Supervisor
- Develop and maintain high-level, personalized booker contacts
- Focus and share possible sales leads to the Sales Department
- Apply the selling strategy to maximize upselling of hotel rooms
- Cross selling Food & Beverage outlets and the Guerlain Spa for each opportunity
- Daily follow-up on any no-shows, late cancellations, traces and waitlist bookings
Who are we looking for?
An Individual Reservations Agent within Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with our Team Members. You are the right profile if you possess the following qualities:
- You are a prioritization genie and you are well organized
- You display a positive attitude and good communication skills
- You commit to going the extra mile for guests and making their stay special
- Working under pressure does not intimidate you
- You transpire confident when on the phone with guests
- Proficient in computer skills
- Excellent grooming standards
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a reservations environment would be a plus
- Fluency in English and Dutch language
It would be advantageous for this position to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Knowledge of the hotel property management systems
- Qualification, degree, or certification in a relevant field
