YOUR FUTURE ROLE

 

This is a limited contract due to parental leave (Elternzeitvertretung) for up to 12 months in 2024.

 

Within the Corporate Sustainability team, the Human Rights Specialist actively contributes to the success of SAP’s Human Rights agenda and compliance with sustainability due diligence legislation globally. This requires a strong focus on the goal-oriented execution of project activities and relationship building with key stakeholders to ensure respect for Human Rights at SAP and our value chain across the globe. 

 

Your tasks include the following:

  • Contribute to further developing and executing SAP’s Human Rights agenda
  • Manage and drive compliance with SAP policies on due diligence in the value chain (including SAP’s Global Controversial Weapons Policy  )
  • Support compliance with Human Rights and sustainability due diligence legislation (e.g. LkSG)
  • Review and manage reporting requirements related to SAP’s Human Rights due diligence and performance
  • Represent SAP internally and externally as a role model for sustainability
  • Partner with sustainability team members and colleagues from other departments globally

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • University degree, master’s degree preferred
  • Preferred fields of study: (international) law, sustainability, Human Rights, business/economics, political or social sciences, or similar
  • 1-2 years of working experience in Human Rights, sustainability, compliance, or related fields
  • Basic knowledge of Human Rights legislation and related reporting requirements
  • Excellent and fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Good project management skills  
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Proactive, flexible, collaborative working style and eager to learn
  • Intercultural sensitivity and ability to influence without authority
