The role reports to the HSE Manager and is located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for identifying and improving safety at the site through use of technology, work cell redesign, improved ergonomics, and other means
• Perform tracking and trending with regards to reported data
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
• Audit/review management system elements
• Aid in Management of Change (MOC)
• Work with area leaders and process experts to perform and update Risk Assessments
• Generate and deliver monthly reports and presentations regarding Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• Aid in environmental waste management
• Deliver and develop training
• Mentoring and networking opportunities
• Personal and professional development programing will be offered to all interns. This programing will include global and local sessions

Your background

• Pursuing degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Fire Protection and Safety, Process Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Related Field of Study
• Currently enrolled in a degree program in the US
• Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US
• Ability to apply objective thinking and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and structurally, as a team player and under pressure
• Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing Concepts
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills, self-motivated, customer oriented, multi-tasking, having stress management capability
• Successful at managing multiple priorities and tasks
• Knowledge of MS Office applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment as an intern or employee in the past
• Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing Concepts
• MS Office application experience
