What do you contribute?

• Your role in the "Light RailPlatform & Technical Management" department will involve designing competitive modular solutions for the Light Rail vehicles of the future as well as traditional technical project management.
• You will work closely with the project management, sales, offer management, purchasing and manufacturing functions.
• Your mission: Together with your team, you will define the modular, competitive platform Light Rail vehicle for our future orientation based on market requirements and continuously ensure the associated technical project management.
• As Head of Department (f/m/d), your main task will be to consistently define, develop and strengthen the competitiveness of the platform based on market requirements. A central task is to be able to derive projects from the platform as cost-effectively as possible, i.e. to shape the transition from project to product business. You and your colleagues will also ensure the Technical Management of the application projects.
• You will work closely with the Mobility experts on technical conceptualization. In particular, you will promote internal communication and identification with the platform.
• As part of your role, you will plan, coordinate and monitor the content of your tasks, schedules, budgets and the implementation of technical solutions. You control the distribution of tasks and maintain an overview of the progress of the projects. In the case of technical solutions, you pay careful attention to consistent compliance with the platform specifications and standards. You will represent the platform's technical solutions to customers and the public.
• You will manage two groups of approx. 20 employees (f/m/d), one of them yourself, and indirectly manage other team colleagues in projects. You will directly manage approx. 4 employees (f/m/d) on a disciplinary basis.

What do you bring along?

• You have a technical master's degree (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable).
• You have many years of professional experience in the field of rail vehicles in responsible, technical positions (e.g. project management, engineering, platform management).
• You have several years of experience in module development, possibly also of Platforms, as well as sound knowledge of project management for rail vehicles. You are familiar with the proactive management of risks and opportunities.
• You are experienced in working with international heterogeneous teams and in communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• In addition, you already have experience in employee management (technical or disciplinary).
• You are generally willing to travel occasionally (approx. 10-20%).
• You communicate confidently in German and English.
