Your Tasks:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic professional to join our organization as the Head of Group Controlling. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial controlling and planning functions across our group of companies. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in finance, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial performance and strategy.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the entire group. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the financial performance of business units. Implement reporting mechanisms to track actual performance against budgets and targets. Work closely with business leaders to understand performance drivers and propose corrective actions as needed.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards. Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership to the Group Controlling team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Present financial information and insights to senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate with various departments to ensure a coordinated approach to financial planning and reporting. Act as a liaison between the finance department and other business units.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, including experience with group consolidation.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and German HGB accounting standards.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Experience working in a multinational company.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and financial reporting software.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English is a must, German is a plus.
