21X is a Frankfurt-based fintech and is in the process of being authorised as a financial institution that will launch the first ESMA-licensed, blockchain-based exchange under the EU DLT regulation - DLTR. We are a global team of capital markets, digital assets and public blockchain experts with a proven track record of building regulated digital asset exchanges.

• Being an equal member of a three-member Management Board (CEO/CFO/CTO)
• Building and leading the teams in Finance, Risk Management, Compliance. Other functions such as Legal, HR, Business Operations and Reporting could also be included.
• Ultimate responsibility for the smooth delivery of financial control, business planning, tax, audit, reporting and compliance
• Develop and implement commercial frameworks and tools to underpin the development of the business and allow it to realize strategic growth opportunities through the next cycle
• Collaborate in developing of a corporate strategy and annual business plans to ensure the group’s financial objectives are met as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible
• Complete due diligence and other business evaluation activities supporting future M&A activity

• Strong academic/professional background in the Finance area
• Experience in a leading position within a high-growth environment, ideally in a B2B SAAS, Fintech or regulated financial company.
• Since this is a BAFIN/ESMA regulated business, prior experience in a regulated environment and with regulators is a significant advantage to matching fit and proper criteria of BAFIN.
• Any professional experience in or with a stock exchange or MTF is considered a plus
• Knowledge in financial modelling, financial markets, operative risk management and compliance experience is mandatory, market risk management and legal experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and strategic skills with an eye for details
• Ability to work conceptually on developing the company
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a high-energy level and a hands-on mentality
• High interest in Distributed Ledger Technology and the disruptiveness that goes along within the (financial) industry
• A modern, inclusive, and empathetic leader with a positive mindset as well as a team player
• Excellent English and Knowledge of German (at least B2) are a must
