Hardware Engineer - PMIC Circuit Designer ( f/m/d)
Job Description
Come join a dynamic and ever challenging team focused on the development and delivery of automotive hardware products, reference platforms and end-to-end solutions for the next generation automotive software defined vehicle platforms. In this position, you will be part of the hardware development team at Intel Automotive in Karlsruhe, specifically in the area of PMIC (Power Management IC) circuit design area.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Analyzing system and SoC power supply requirements for the usage in the automotive environment
Defining system level requirements for power supply delivery network solutions
Identifying SoC level requirements for specifying and driving new automotive PMIC solutions with vendors
Collaborating with vendors on designing PMICs and validating their solution proposal and offerings according to BU's automotive requirements
Selecting components from external suppliers with focus on automotive requirements, environment and costs
Working closely with power integrity simulation engineering team to optimize PMIC design solutions
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree or Graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in automotive PMIC solution design.
Self-motivated, well organized, excellent communication and influencing skills (good communicator, motivator, listener).
Experience in measurement techniques in the area of analog power supply designs
Ability to work independently and successfully under tight project deadlines within cross-functional internal, external and sub-con teams.
Experience in working on international projects beneficial, you should be prepared to travel as required.
Automotive system expertise with a good understanding of OEM, TIER1 and end-user requirements
Evaluate early customer requirements (RFI, RFQ phase) as well as change requests (CR's) and derive architecture specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Functional Safety and Security design is advantageous.
- Experience in ISO 26262 is advantageous
