Group Lead (m/f/d) Operational Performance Controlling

Company: Nordex Group

This role will be directly responsible for understanding the field operational performance to ensure tracking and visibility of key metrics across the Service business. They will understand the complete value chain involved in Operations to ensure the most important metrics are understood, tracked in the most efficient way and communicated across and upwards in the organisation.

The role will also be responsible to understand the key drivers in Service Operations and be able to develop with the team the correct metrics and also work with external parties to be able to implement new tools which improve the visibility to management about the performance of the relevant areas.

The person will drive the improved understanding of leading and lagging indicators of operational performance in the team and across Service as well as collaborating with other teams or departments in order to create mitigation plans and with their teams to ensure that the necessary improvements are delivered driving the optimum operational performance or significant improvement trends.

YOUR TASKS

  • Developing with the team the best performance metrics available to understand the performance of operations in the field as well as support levels from HQ functions
  • Developing with their team the analysis tools to highlight areas of performance improvement opportunities
  • Regularly monitoring performance to identify specific issues and putting in place mitigation plans with the responsible team
  • Develop the understanding of key performance drivers and where in the value chain performance is lost
  • Create with the team improvement ideas to increase performance and working with internal stakeholders to implement
  • Reporting of performance improvements and the results to other stakeholders
  • Close cooperation with country organisations
  • Working regularly with other HQ departments to support specific projects

YOUR PROFIL

  • Strong analytical mind-set whilst still able to elaborate financial proposals
  • Experience in working in matrix organizations
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills
  • 3 years’ experience of working in a leadership position within the wind industry with a strong focus on field efficiency
  • Formal qualifications in an Engineering, Science or Management subject (Bachelor or Masters degree)
  • Business management qualification/experience
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Computer literate, able to use MS Office and analytical tools
  • Experienced in dealing with complex businesses
  • Flexible and stress resistant
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Able to deal with conflict
  • Strong decision making, planning and prioritizing skills
  • Good understanding of business cases and financial proposals
  • Willing to travel as required, including nights away from home
  • Teamwork & collaboration
  • End-to-end-thinking
