Actuarial Analyst - Ceded Re

London

 

The Ceded Re Structure and Analytics team is core in developing the Ceded Reinsurance strategy, and providing analysis within the Ceded Re function and a broader set of interested Stakeholders across AXA XL. This role will involve working with placement officers, operations, finance and actuarial team members.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

·       Management of data collection processes for reinsurance submissions

·       Reconciling data against prior years and other data sources

·       Checking and analyzing data to ensure it is consistent with qualitative data sources

·       Combining multiple data sources to fulfil data requirements

·       Building analytic tools to support analysis of reinsurance structures

·       Analyze future reinsurance structures to determine optimal purchase

·       Conduct on-going performance analysis of the current reinsurance structure and reporting outcomes

·       Liaise & collaborate on an on-going basis with other Ceded Re teams (placement, operations) and AXA XL/AXA Group  stakeholders

·       Troubleshoot any user problems with  analytics and internal tools

We’re looking for an innovative thinker who can provide solutions from both an actuarial and business perspective with:

o   A focus on quality and integrity

o   Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues in different functions and at different experience levels required.

o   Able to apply critical thinking to solve new problems

o   Coding skills in VBA, SQL, R and/or Python

o   Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field

o   Analytical skills to evaluate business segment profitability

o   Mental agility and adaptability to changing circumstances

o   Curious, inquisitive, innovative and open to new ideas

o   A self-starter with established organizational skills

o   Ability to work independently as well as in teams and in an international and multicultural environment
