BMC also includes several teams who are responsible for content development, editorial, webcasts, events-staging, strategy, planning and operations. The opportunity

 

This Global Creative Transformation Leader role is a critical part of the Agency Strategy and Creative Transformation team which plays a key strategic and important role building a distinctive brand by creating, architecting, and elevating work, tools, models and processes across and for BMC to create impactful and distinctive work.

 

This is a strategic and specialist role that is focussed on transforming and elevating our collective creative output across 3 clear touchpoints and requires the need to advise, support, and elevate briefs and creative work across multiple BMC teams (service lines, pillars, regions etc):

 

  • Lead the Newsroom program (elevation of briefs and creative across paid, owned and earned) including hosting and playing a lead or support role in using first class brand and creative skills and experience to build, elevate and inspire people to get to and unlock distinctive and impactful ideas. This requires quick sharp insightful thinking and ability to articulate feedback and input in an inspiring way to get to better outcomes.
  • Lead/ Support on key strategic brand and creative campaigns (beyond the brand to demand campaign) working with the BMC team that own the program. Examples include Employee Brand, Social Equity, New Business Strategy launches, Cannes activation, Sustainability etc. At times too, this role will be required to work with BMC teams to find the right solutions, from brief writing to support of the development of their work, when those teams are struggling to move forward.
  • Lead and support on the creation of creative tools, processes and learning experiences. Some examples: brief templates & writing, inspiring creative award sessions, what makes a great creative idea, impact of AI on BMC’s creative process, DEI guidelines, Academy learning sessions, support on the B&E Leaders Brand Matters, etc. This will include the strategic mapping to needs, the creation and amplification/ delivery. Also support of the writing and submitting of award entries.
  • An essential component of this role is being able to influence a multitude of stakeholders across areas, regions, and markets and at times work in their teams to build first class creative work. We require a highly strategic, creative, pro-active, positive, and dynamic person who can lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will be part of a small but highly effective specialist team but interact and have influence with many BMC teams, including the BMC external and internal agencies, to ensure that they are producing the best work.
  • The ideal candidate is a highly creative and brand experienced, resilient team player with strong stakeholder management skills, excellent project management and communication skills and good business acumen. The ability to manage stakeholder requests and prioritize projects will be key, ensuring alignment with key areas of focus for BMC and the business.
  • Knowledge and expertise in working with creative advertising agencies to deliver campaigns is a must.
  • This is a full-time role.
     

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Strong technical skills in all core areas of creative development from brief writing, to developing creative ideas, to activation across all channels (paid, owned, and earned).
  • A strong proven track record of delivering world class brand and creative ideas and executions – with a clear understanding of what makes a great creative brief.
  • Provide valuable strategic and creative leadership through the ability to advise and inspire multiple stakeholders (internally & externally).
  • Thorough understanding of brands and ability to judge great/ award winning creative ideas.
  • Ability to develop others proactively; see learning and development as a critical input to delivering exceptional client service to BMC clients.
  • Drives change through new models and processes.
  • Clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills by being insightful, inspiring, motivating, committing to excellence and having a genuine passion.
  • Support teams on SoW negotiations and understandings: timings, deliverables and budget.
  • A strong team player, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually and independently
  • Able to work in a high pace, fluid environment and be agile and comfortable with tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, willingness to take ownership and forward-thinking nature – to identify and follow through on potential opportunities and drive change.
  • Able to synthesize complex information into simple high-level messages.
  • Ability to manage several projects concurrently: excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and networking experience and skills in a wide range of situations and with people at all levels within the organization, including global leadership.
     

Essential Functions of the Job

 

  • Develop and lead on Newsroom and building tools and resources for the wider BMC function to develop creative excellence.
  • Ability to jump into another team and lead, advise and support on the creative execution.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders effectively and maintain good working relationships across BMC and other functions.
  • Work closely with Global Agency Strategy and Creative Transformation Director , Creative ideas planner, Agency Strategy Leader, and other members of the team to inspire BMC and Agencies to develop best in class creative.
  • Build strong relationships with creative agencies and taking a lead role in the briefing and development of campaign creative assets on programs that you have been seconded too. Providing creative feedback and input to push the creative work to the highest possible standard.
  • The candidate must have experience and expertise working on world class brands with clear demonstration of developing impactful briefs and creative solutions.
  • Budget planning and management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant EY services, as well as BMC and EY processes.
  • Be knowledgeable about EY processes and structure to effectively navigate the organization.
     

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Leadership experience: particularly in a global matrix organization working in a flexible/ hybrid-working fashion.
  • Substantial brand/ creative and advertising agency experience in a world-class global organization.
  • Proven track record on driving a distinctive and impactful global brand – B2C or B2B.
  • Experience working with and managing diverse and virtual high-performance teams.
  • Proven ability to inspire, influence and build collaborative relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Fluent English is required, additional languages are a bonus.

 

Other requirements

  • Global travel may be required pending business needs.
