JOB DESCRIPTION

The warehouse specialist is responsible for having a thorough working knowledge of all Plant Material Control and Columbus Distribution Center job functions and applicable department equipment and system ie. Forklift, AMAPS, MITS. The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for receiving, loading, unloading, cleaning, assuming computer room responsibilities as needed & performing full functionality in the Receiving Office while maintaining compliance to all GMP, Safety and Quality guidelines. Also will involve some performance of preventative maintenance. ie. monitor and respond to Plant automation systems and equipment.


Must meet all safety and housekeeping requirements.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

For Receiving Operations: Creates very accurate & legible documentation, performs data entry accurately, maintains all applicable databases/systems with needed information, efficiently process inbound pallets through the proper process and into the applicable systems.

For Loading, Unloading, Performs all tasks safely, assures accurate documentation, follows all process procedures / Guidelines, assures trailers are loaded to meet weight requirements, performs all tasks in an efficient & effective manner.

Maintains proper FIFO of finished products.  May include operations of a forklift truck with a push-pull attachment.

Stores, picks or assembles raw materials in the warehouse, verifying the commodity number, quantity, release status, and lot number.  Checks materials against packaging lists, invoices, freight bills or other pertinent documentation to assure conformity and accuracy.

For Receiving Office Functions: Receive all PO’s in a timely manner, assure all documentation is accurate, address people in a professional manner, assure all databases/systems are accurately maintained with timely entries, assure BOL's are signed/dated by Common Carrier Driver and the Clerk during the shift.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Required.
  • Previous Forklift Operator experience required.
  • Forklift license a plus.

The base pay for this position is $16.55 – $33.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
