As a Financial Controller at BiLLWERK+, you will have a multifaceted role encompassing both financial control and accounting responsibilities. You will be a key individual responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the organization through accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient accounting processes.

Your tasks as Financial Controller

• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Supervise the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.
• Lead the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial statements
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Oversee tax planning strategies and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax liabilities.
• Prepare and review tax returns, filings, and related documentation as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related roles, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry.
• Fluent in German and English
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards ( GAAP, HGB ).
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite or similar platforms is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in financial and accounting operations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
