Reporting to the Sr. Director, Event Content Strategy, the Experience Marketing Content Marketing Manager will support the development and management of content sessions for Workday’s strategic global - in person and digital events. We are looking for a person with strong program management expertise with the ability to collaborate and influence. In this role your primary focus will be supporting the session management process from start to finish. You will work with the broader event content team to define goals and timelines, coordinate speakers, ensure quality session materials are created, and manage delivery of the final content deliverables, delivered on stage and screen.

About the Role

This role will report to the Sr. Director, Event Content Strategy on the Experience Marketing team and will support the development and management of content sessions for Workday’s strategic global - in person and digital events. We are looking for a person with strong program management expertise with the ability to collaborate and influence. In this role your primary focus will be supporting the session management process from start to finish. You will work with the broader event content team to define goals and timelines, coordinate speakers, ensure quality session materials are created, and manage delivery of the final content deliverables, delivered on stage and screen.

You will:

  • Partner closely with internal subject matter experts and content leads to identify key milestones, communicate expectations, and ensure completion of deliverables.

  • Support the end-to-end content development process, including project management, timelines, production coordination, session scheduling and speaker management.

  • Work with Event Technology teams to assist in the development and testing for content tools such as Call for Presentations, Session Catalog and Speaker Portal.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and production partners to bring in compelling and engaging approaches to content delivery.

  • Lead content editorial and brand reviews with internal and external resources to ensure achievements are met and messaging is aligned to event objectives and brand standards. Establish a process to coordinate all elements of presentation development, reviews, completion and delivery.

  • Prepare post event content reports and make recommendations on future content programs based on analysis and insights.

  • Coordinate with other marketing teams to reuse, repackage event content in other channels to increase return on the company’s event content investment.

About You

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the steps it takes to deliver great content at events, recognizing compelling storytelling that aligns to brand messaging. They have experience using events as a strategic marketing platform, building event content aligned to overall business objectives and audience needs. They possess strong communication and collaboration skills and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders to get to the finish line. They also have demonstrated familiarity with event technologies and approaches, such as Call for Presentations, Speaker Management Tools and Virtual Event Platforms, and should have a keen understanding of event production approaches for both live and digital events.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable running projects with multiple collaborators across the globe, managing priorities and working effectively across a number of concurrent programs. They also need to be proficient in gaining alignment with stakeholders, presenting to internal collaborators as well as external customers and partners.

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated success in content management/program management, specifically for large scale, global events, preferably at a high-growth technology company

  • Experience with innovative in-person and digital program development and execution

  • Experience building, implementing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and identify improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment, leading multiple collaborators and concurrent programs

  • Proven organizational and planning skills, proficiency to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable influencing others and an insatiable curiosity to learn, innovate and understand.

  • Experience with event technologies - RainFocus, Virtual Event Platforms and Asana a plus

  • Proficient using Google Suite, MS Office Applications, Slack and other applications

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
