The Opportunity

This position works out of our Wiesbaden location in the Abbott Diagnostics Division.

General Medical Devices:

Our medical devices help more than 10,000 people have healthier hearts, improve quality of life for thousands of people living with chronic pain and movement disorders, and liberate more than 500,000 people with diabetes from routine fingersticks.

Days and Nightshifts Working Hours

Primary Function

  • Conduct particle and microbiological controls in laboratory environments and assess microbiological status of in-process and finished products at Wiesbaden Site.

Major Responsibilities

  • Product testing to assess microbiological status of in-process and finished products
  • Ensures operations are performed in accordance with applicable Division and regulatory requirements, as well as in accordance with Safety, GMP, FDA, ISO 9001 and Quality System requirements.
  • Perform Environmental Control Monitoring as required to ensure microbiological cleanliness and chemical purity of areas and utilities.
  • Dispatch failure notifications and failure investigations forms to respective departments
  • Maintain monthly statistics on findings
  • Furthermore co-operation with other functional areas, such as Product Operations, Planning/Scheduling, Validation and Operations Quality

Education

  • MTA, BTA, CTA (or equivalent)

Background

  • MTA, BTA, CTA (or equivalent) with no experience
  • Written English

Accountability/Scope

  • Compliant and timely execution of monitoring activities
