ABOUT THE POSITION

Fluence is seeking an Energy Storage Product Manager for the EMEA region to further enhance our role as technology leader in the storage industry. The Energy Storage Product Manager is our expert to define the product strategy and requirements across the EMEA region. Working hand in hand with all relevant internal and external stakeholders in the region (s)he will be the primary interface to our global product organization.

The role will be reporting into Fluence`s Director for the Center of Competence and requires an autonomous and pragmatic individual who has strong experience working in a matrixed and virtual environment, working with multiple stakeholders, on multiple projects/tasks at one time, and as part of a global team.

In this role you will:

•Be the regional interface to our global product organization for all product strategy related topics to ensure our products comply with the needs of our customers and markets in the EMEA region.
•Closely work with internal stakeholders (growth, sales, engineering, execution, and services) in the region and use their input to create clear product requirements to support our regional and global product strategy.
•Proactively monitor and market developments to ensure we enhance our role as a technology leader in the storage industry.
•Enhance productization and standarization of our solutions.
•Implement and maintain tools to track product development initiatives and keep internal stakeholders informed about their scope, timeline, and progress.
•Provide guidance for approvals to the regional mangement and align on prioritization of product development initiatives.
•Develop sound business cases for product requirements to support fact based investment decision making.

What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence? 

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of proven work experience in product management or business development in the Energy Storage industry. In addition, qualified candidates will have:
•In-depth understanding of storage technology with a focus on business cases and applications in the segment.
•Ability to understand and synthesize specific complex technical information into general product requirements.
•Bachelor’s degree in (electrical) engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
•Excellent presentation, communication, negotiations, and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to solve complex technical problems and effectively communicate results.
•Desire to work collaboratively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
•Track record of taking ownership over responsibilities and pursuing them diligently.
•Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to create strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•Willing and able to travel, domestically and internationally (expected 30% of time)
•Fluent in written and spoken English. German as an additional language is a plus.
