We’re recruiting in our People Team to support our new People Operating Model. We have a new Employee Relations Manager position and are looking for a Senior HR professional, experienced in leading companywide ER/IR matters, with proven ability in managing teams. 

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, and at our Dublin office location. 

What you’ll be doing: 

You will lead all Employee Relations activity for AXA Ireland through the development and implementation of change frameworks, policies and procedures to maximise contribution to the business and People strategies. As a trusted advisor you will provide expert consultancy and deep specialist knowledge.

1.    Lead proactive engagement with AXA employee representative bodies, organising local consultative and company forums to provide an effective channel of communication and consultation.
2.    Manage industrial relations issues, including third party escalations (WRC, Labour Court, and Litigation) to ensure effective resolution that minimizes disruption and risk.
3.    Manage annual Pay Negotiations.
4.    Support the development of employee engagement amongst leadership by providing coaching and guidance on best practices and influencing development programme content.
5.    Increase people management capability through targeted training and workshops, in collaboration with the Centres of Excellence.
6.    Manage employee policies, processes procedures, guidelines, ensuring that they are relevant and legislatively up to date. 
7.    Ensure people aspects of organisational change are considered in the planning and execution phases of all major change programmes and are consulted on in a timely manner.  
8.    Manage ER Specialists to provide solutions focused advice to leaders on a range of Employee Relations issues
9.    Coach, advise and support the People Partners in the management of Employee Relations issues.
10.    Build close effective relationships with the COEs, ensuring initiatives are briefed / consulted about in a timely and effective manner.  


Your Profile
  • ·      5+ years’ senior HR experience, including experience leading company wide ER / IR matters and people management. 
  • ·      In-depth knowledge of Ireland and Northern Ireland employment legislation. 
  • ·      Strong communication, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, influencing, and coaching skills.
  • ·      Ability to work collaboratively with employee representative groups, influencing as appropriate.
  • ·      Ability to challenge key stakeholders and operate effectively in a complex and ambiguous matrix structure.
  • ·      Operate at a strategic level with the ability to navigate complexity, and strong strategic vision with the ability to drive strategic alignment.
  • ·      Commercial acumen - understanding how the business operates.
  • ·      A trusted advisor with a deep technical knowledge of HR
  • ·      Critical thinker who is recognised as an expert in their field.
  • ·      Results-driven

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland and/or the United Kingdom.
