EME Training and Therapy Manager- TAVR

This position works out of our Lebanon location in Structural Heart Division

As EME Training and Therapy Manager- TAVR, you'll -

Implement policies, procedures, practices, and strategy for achieving comprehensive Training programs for both internal employees and external customers. Establish clinical proficiency goals that will facilitate positive clinical outcomes.

The role will focus on clinical field Training and mentoring in the field of TAVI and in addition to this on supporting the MEO (Middle East Others “LEVANT , AFRICA”) region clinically and commercially.

This position will additionally be responsible for implementing and monitoring education programs for HCP stakeholders as well as training new hired employees until they have completed all required training.

In addition, the position will be responsible for supporting the company's efforts to formulate and implement all Training and development strategies in EME REGION and on achieving the sales, financial targets within specified region (MEO).

Future Program Development:  Will be required to assist training for current and future generations of the product portfolio, focused on the domain of TAVI.

The position will assume the responsibilities of new therapy areas/new target audiences, patient pathways and identified needs of HCPs and internal stakeholders. These projects will require extensive collaboration with EMEA Training manager. 

Procedural and clinical expertise for both internal and external audiences is required.  The Trainer will ensure compliance of materials, and consistent dissemination of the subject matter to both internal and external stakeholders.

Quality: The Trainer will do regular checks of all compliance related activities related to training. He/she will proactively assess the work of technical support and sales teams on periodic (e.g. Quarterly) basis to ensure compliance in line with standard operating procedures and report on monthly base. 

Tracking: The Trainer will assume full responsibility for systematic tracking of training program performance including but not limited to time to account start up, number of accounts starting/not-starting, time to certification of internal employees and HCP.

In addition, he/she will follow up on reported implant outcomes and act upon where needed.

Commercial: The Trainer will have sales targets within a specific region where he will need to support procedures, do referrals and ensure financial growth/ development for the business (MEO region).

What You'll Do:

  • Achieve regional training goals.

  • Execute on existing and develop improved tactics for integrating field based sales and clinical support staff and execute strategies consistent with achieving Sales plan.

  • Facilitate new account start up Training and re-training where needed.

  • Implement internal staff training development programs with clear objectives and tracking.

  • Track successful and unsuccessful conversion from training to start up.

  • Provide comprehensive reports on all Training and other pertinent department activity to assist executive management in strategic planning.

  • Assists Physician training programs and Field Sales training programs.

  • Plan, schedule, and complete projects consistent with department objectives.

  • Provide support in the development of Training SOP's and measurement

  • Proactively support regional commercial goals, objectives, policies and procedures, and EU and US regulations.

  • Maintain a professional and credible image with key physicians, consultants, and co-workers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ensure compliance in performing the training as required by the training procedure

  • Ensure compliance in reporting product experiences according to AV requirement

  • Conduct systematic monthly tracking of performance of programs including time to account start up, number of accounts starting/not-starting

  • Track successful and unsuccessful conversion from training to start up.

  • Meeting & exceeding sales goals

  • Working alongside the team to draw up strategies to increase customer base.

  • Provide accurate sales forecast and allocating resources so targets are met.

  • Utilize Salesforce tools to ensure standardized process throughout all stages of a sale.

  • Maximize sales performance through strong relationships with clients and awareness of their needs and lifestyles.

  • Achieve monthly, and annual sales and activity quotas.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.

Experience

Minimum of three years related experience in the medical device industry preferably consisting of three or more years of direct sales experience

Knowledge & Skills

  • Highly developed education and communication skills.

  • Thorough working knowledge of the medical device industry is required.

  • Ability to travel extensively.

  • Commercial background

  • Clinical expertise in areas of Structural Heart disease.

  • Strong strategic, analytical and conceptual capabilities

  • Language skills in addition to English are a plus


Specific Requirements

Incumbent will be required to comply with all applicable laws and Abbott internal procedures when being present in a Cath Lab. Such rule includes wearing certain health and safety protection devices, e.g., lead apron/jacket
