A Hybrid working model

The role will be part of WPPs StudioX, responsible for our Client The Coca-Cola Company.

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people. What does a Editor do at Hogarth / StudioX?

  • Editing of assigned commercial projects and in-house/new business/industrials with and without clients in attendance
  • With the Broadcast Production Director, establishes working parameters for all post edit processes, utilizing Hogarth technology (FIDO and Zonza) and creates clear and accurate documentation to support the edit workflow
  • Collaborates with Producers to understand jobs and create accurate deliverable timelines
  • Ensures all assigned editing jobs are delivered on-time and on-budget
  • Collaborates with production and client teams to ensure creative productions meet client expectations and remain on brand message
  • Assess and make recommendations to the Broadcast Production Director on the competitive pricing of our services and their positioning
  • Ensures full compliance with financial procedures and policies for all broadcast freelance editors
  • Tracks and reports status of all projects and escalates issues in a timely manner
  • Ongoing review of editing process and practices with an eye toward increasing effectiveness
  • Assesses new technology (software and hardware) and makes recommendations for additions and changes to existing technology
  • Integrate workflow with outside vendors, post houses and agencies to achieve the highest possible efficiency
  • Troubleshoots technical issues in collaboration with IT where required

Requirements

  • Fluent German and English
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a Post Production environment with working Editorial experience
  • Results driven and proactive
  • Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels 
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills
  • Technical proficiency in: Final Cut
 Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere
. After Effects experience is a plus
  • Experience Working with Digi-Beta, D5 and HDCam decks
  • Basic knowledge of Alexa, Red, Phantom, 5D and RAW workflows
  • Ability to work across a broad range of film and video projects including live action, animated graphics and VFX based commercials
  • Thorough understanding of post production processes
  • Able to adapt to new working methods & technology advances
  • Excellent time management skills & multi-tasking abilities
