Our location in Casa Grande, Arizona currently has an opportunity for a Sanitation Manager.  This site is one of six Abbott nutrition manufacturing plants in the U.S., with about half of its products exported around the world. This position will train on day shift for 6 month- 1 year. Long term the role will be nights.

What you will do as a Dryer Operator

This entry level position is for our Dryer department.  Our dryer equipment converts liquid product into dried powder forms, primarily infant formula.  Quality is maintained via equipment that monitors drying parameters as well as employees visually inspecting the equipment to ensure efficient operations.  The operators will also be responsible for the cleaning of the equipment via our CIP (Clean in Place) system.

The operator will learn the operation of the fluid bed room for production and the cleaning process. The operator will learn the operation of the lactose, rework and whey protein systems, operational knowledge of powder transport systems and handling and storage systems.  Operators will gain operational knowledge and applicable tasks of evaporating batches, product sterilization, drying product, weighing and adding vitamins, add up corrections, troubleshooting and CIP of equipment and following all GMP/safety guidelines to stay in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Fluid bed operation (including CIP)
  • Weighing/adding minerals and vitamins
  • Forklift operations
  • Assisting dryer technicians w/production of CIP
  • Housekeeping tasks/sanitation procedures
  • Operation of filling stations
  • Assembly and disassembly of bulk bag systems
  • Reconstitution of NFDM
  • Assembly/disassembly of various powder transport systems
  • Evaporator system operation and CIP
  • Injector system operation and CIP
  • Dryer system operation and CIP
  • Fines reinjection system and CIP
  • IBC filling, handling, storage (forklift operation)
  • Powder handling systems (transporters to hopper)

Education and Experience you'll Bring:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Forklift operation

Preferred:

  • Dryer, injector, evaporator system operations

The base pay for this position is $20.60 – $41.20 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
