Ready to be a key part of our repower team as a Director of Repower?

The Director of Repowering role offers a unique opportunity to lead a key service entity within our organization, driving the success of Repowering projects across the United States. This position is suited for a dynamic leader passionate about the renewable energy sector, with a deep understanding of project management, sales, compliance, and industry standards. As the Director of Repowering, you are the leader and the driving force behind our Repowering service entity, operating across the United States. This pivotal role entrusts you with the helm of running Repowering as its own business unit within the organization, albeit with robust support from corporate functions including Finance, HR, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and IT. The Director of Repower holds end-to-end responsibility for the entity's success, from spearheading strategic direction and overseeing project execution to driving sales and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. This position demands a leader who thrives on autonomy, excels in a dynamic environment, and possesses the vision to transform challenges into opportunities, thereby advancing the organization's position in the clean power sector from a service provider providing O&M after COD to essentially now performing large scale upgrade installation project to requalify clean power projects for tax credits and continued operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will implement strategies that align with overarching corporate goals while nurturing a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation within the Repowering team.

Are You Looking to:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Repowering service entity, aligning with the organization's overall goals and objectives.?

  • Lead the planning and implementation of Repowering projects, ensuring strategic alignment with the company’s growth and profitability targets?

  • Assume full profit and loss responsibility for the Repowering service entity. Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to increase revenue, control costs, and maximize profitability?

  • Ensure financial targets are met or exceeded, providing regular financial performance updates to senior management and stakeholders?

  • Play an active role in the sales process, working closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and secure Repowering projects?

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to ensure a robust pipeline of business opportunities?

  • Oversee the end-to-end project management of Repowering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards?

  • Implement project management best practices and methodologies to drive project success?

Are You Ready to:

  • Champion a culture of safety and quality across all repowering projects. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, implementing policies and procedures that minimize risks and ensure the safety of employees and the communities we serve.

  • Monitor and uphold quality standards in service delivery, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Ensure all Repowering projects comply with PWA and other applicable regulatory requirements and applicable industry standards.

  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project reporting system to provide timely and accurate updates to the COO and other stakeholders.

  • Monitor project performance against key metrics and objectives, implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve project goals.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Repowering project team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure the team has the resources, training, and support to achieve their objectives.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or equivalent experience is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or related disciplines are preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on clean power projects.

  • Demonstrated success in leading Repowering or similar large-scale energy projects is essential.

  • Strong ability in the sales process, from identifying opportunities to closing deals.

  • Experience in negotiating contracts and understanding customer needs.

  • Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.

  • Familiarity with project management software and methodologies.

  • In-depth understanding of the regulatory environment and industry standards relevant to Repowering projects.

  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements to ensure project compliance.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building, leading, and motivating teams.

  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects effectively.
