The opportunity
The Adobe Express content team is looking for an experienced Design Manager that can help drive the content design process and scale our most critical asset types. Templates come in a myriad of shapes and sizes from posters, to resumes, social stories and logos and are important to enabling creator’s success and empowering them with creative confidence. You will work with the team to set standards, develop playbooks, provide design feedback, and keep the template creators encouraged to build elite graphic design starting points.
What you'll do
Lead the vision and strategy for spectacular custom templates; you’re capable of translating the most relevant trends and standard processes for any type of graphic communication and crafting the approaches and standards that guide others.
Infuse the template design practice with inspiration whilst staying true to codified product principles that enable customers to easily get started from any template.
Connect the dots between the template designers and product teams collaborating closely with marketers, product managers, engineers and more.
Guide and review templates for clarity, consistency, and quality and be responsible for ensuring that templates empower our users to build stunningly breathtaking content with simplicity and ease.
Handle designer velocity rates and output within the production pipeline for templates; ensuring designers can build and publish towards key targets.
Optimize for consistent discovery templates that are encoded with data that enables relevant search results, you will supervise the review process that ensures templates appear in the right results.
Ensure high quality production of graphic design, staying on top of current design trends and adding efficient value to our template library
What you need to succeed
5+ years proven experience in graphic design, branding or social campaign creation
Ensure high quality production of graphic design, staying on top of current design trends and adding optimal value to our template library
Experience leading content efforts on a team within a large, diverse organization
Ability to develop standards and review and provide feedback against them
Abilities to mentor and provide developmental support to junior designers to ensure the team is set up for success to reach production design targets
The ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects at a time
Outstanding visual design and interpersonal skills, and a sharp attention to detail
Ability to present and share your ideas, influence decisions, and build
Experience and knowledge with motion graphics, video, or similar mediums
Experience with content management systems and taxonomy schemas
